Martha Pease – The Strategic Soul
There’s a pioneering aspect to Martha’s life and career. Breaking ground in advertising, consumer marketing and as a business strategist and consultant, Martha’s expertise spans multiple industries and disciplines.

As an advertising account manager at LGFE on the team that introduced the original IBM Personal Computer, and at BBDO as SVP on the teams that re-launched Apple’s Macintosh and repositioned Pizza Hut, Martha helped managed award-winning campaigns that shaped multi-billion dollar product categories. Steve Hayden, Vice Chairman of Ogilvy, calls Martha…”a gifted and pragmatic strategist, with a creative intelligence that helps clients and businesses see how to grasp and take advantage of uncharted opportunities. Martha is one of the few executives I’ve worked with who understood early on how to position and market complicated technologies.”

As SVP Marketing and New Product Development at Neutrogena, Martha supported the transition of the premium skin care brand into mass distribution and her team developed the successful line of Healthy Skin products. “Martha’s creativity and strategic vision led to new value and differentiation for Neutrogena in the US and abroad during a critical growth phase for the company” says Christian Bardin, former President, Neutrogena International.

Martha founded MPB Consulting in the 1990’s, with the mission to advise technology clients in new markets with new products, including established players Epson, Novell and Hitachi. The firm also advised JWT and Domino’s Pizza on creative strategy and organizational integration. “Martha is a uniquely diverse executive talent, a creative business partner with the smartness to identify opportunities that grow and stretch your business. She’s someone I’ve enjoyed working with for over 15 years”, says Ken Calwell, CMO, Domino’s Pizza.

As EVP Worldwide Account Director for L’Oreal Paris at McCann Erickson, working with top executives at L’Oreal Paris, Martha helped spearhead the Women of Worth brand initiative in 2005 and managed the agency’s work on the iconic celebrity campaign “Because I’m Worth It”.  As EVP of Marketing & Enterprise Development at Lifetime Network, Martha led re-branding across 3 cable networks and 3 VOD channels, and promoted some of Lifetime’s highest rated movies.

Martha is a member of the Professional Advisory Board of Voice Books, an advisor and expert resource for GuardianLeadership.com, a former Director of Fetch Technology and a current Director of HBC.

Among the pioneering women students in the early years of co-education at Dartmouth College, Martha graduated with a BA in English Literature and Film History.
